As a parent, my wife and I want the absolute best preschool for our three year old son. In order to feel confident that we would make the best decision much research was necessary. We were new to Idaho, had no relatives here and no idea where to start. So we got out the phone book and started making calls. We learned after going to a half a dozen or so schools that scheduled visits, while important, do not always reveal the whole picture.

We then decided to just start asking strangers with preschool aged kids where their child goes and what they thought of it. This revealed the greatest insight to the pros and cons of a particular school. Time and time again parents and professionals in the field stated that one of the best programs in Meridian or anywhere for that fact was A Step Ahead Preschool. With so much input supporting their program that is where we chose to enroll our son. It was the greatest single decision we have ever made for him. He woke up every morning excited to go to school. He loved his teacher and he loved the school. After a while the staff and owner felt like family. As for the curriculum I cannot say enough for the attention to the balance between academic focus and social development. School is a place to learn and that includes so much more than the ABC’s and the 123’s.

Our son is now in Kindergarten and well ahead of the curve. He is able to manage himself in class and make friends easily. I attribute it in large part to A Step Ahead‘s academic approach and sincere caring for the development of each child as an individual. Thank you for all you have done for our son.
